Member Highlight: Bill Wickstrom

I’ve always had an interest in jeeps going back to my ex-brother-in-law’s CJ-7 back in the late 80’s… fast forward, I find a beautiful Forest Green TJ 4″ lift, 35’s 4:10 gears all set up, 5 speed, 58,000 miles…I have it 3 months and I get hit by a drunk driver… totalled..fast forward, I find Ol Yeller.. same set up, miles, except she’s screaming yellow.. and I don’t care..so I buy a rear bumper with a tire swing ( donut still on the back) well…they send 2..so I post one up for sale and who should come knocking…” Hey, we started a club out in McHenry..look us up and check it out… it’s like the mafia… once you’re in, you’re in for life…my jeeps have taken me on so many amazing adventures starting with JeepBeach in ’15 after I had my first cancer surgery and activated my bucket list..so goes that saying…” Take it out and play with it!!” And now my youngest has the fever! I couldn’t be more proud of her and ALL the great people I’ve come to know and be around!! Thanks Mike Missak for buying that bumper and putting me on this crazy path!!… hahaha
