10th Anniversary

About the Event:

This year is a special year as it is our 10th anniversary. Each year, the number of Jeepers who come together for a great cause has grown exponentially. This is a day that has turned into family traditions in which people decorate their Jeeps and open their hearts. It is fun kick-off to the holiday season.

The day starts by meeting at Ray Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Fox Lake, IL. This is where participating Jeeps meet up for the day’s events. There is time to check out the decorated Jeeps, grab a bite to eat and hang out with fellow Jeepers.

We then proceed with a police escorted parade to the Genesee Theater in Waukegan, IL. The Jeeps will be directed to a drive through in which the Marines help unload the toys that participants have donated. You don’t want to miss the after party at the Genesee Theater where fun for the whole family continues (get your after party tickets here – tickets are required this year). There will be food and entertainment for all ages. The day ends with raffles and someone will win a BRAND NEW Jeep Wrangler donated by Ray CDJR.

All proceeds will be donated to Toys For Tots locally.  On top of the great feeling you get knowing that when you register to join the event, you are also donating to a great cause.  We will have a ton of great raffle prizes and goodies!

Requirements:

  • Each JEEP is required to register. YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE THE EVENT.
  • We ask that each registered Jeep bring a minimum of 1 toy to donate at check-in on the day of the event

Registration Details:

  • 1 registration = 1 Jeep vehicle (regardless of number of passengers)
  • Register online using our new registration process
  • You will receive an confirmation email containing a QR code. This is your ticket! Bring it with you on the day of the event. You cannot get in without your ticket.

Sunday Dec 4th: What to expect on that day

  • We will meet at Ray CDJR the morning of the event.
Print your QR code and place it on your windshield – this is your ticket IN! There will be a grab n’ go style breakfast, some small things for the children to do, potentially some new factory Jeep products on display. Be sure to mingle and look at all the decorated jeeps. This is also a great time to finish decorating your own Jeep if they didn’t make the ride to Ray’s.
  • Once it’s time to leave we’ll take our police escorted ride to the Genesee Theatre.
There we will have the Marine semi trucks waiting for us to fill. Have your toys all loaded into the back of your Jeep so our team can easily remove them. This is one of the best parts of the day, seeing those huge trucks get filled with toys!
  • Once you’ve driven through and dropped your toys you’ll want to park and come into the theater.
Free and easy parking will be provided for you.
  • One lucky person will win a brand new Jeep!
We will raffle off the 2022 Jeep JL on facebook live, from RayCDJR and JOTR pages. pages. The raffle will take place at the Genesee Theatre.

Route Information:

***Route TBD***

Driving Etiquette:

  • Please keep a tight gap and follow the vehicle in front of you.
  • Know THE ROUTE!
  • Lake County will be escorting us in a funeral style procession and all major intersections will have coverage. The lead car will be determining lane usage, so please be sure to stick with the car in front of you.
  • Lake County will be regulating our speed and may even stop at times to ensure the group stays together. Due to the size of our group, not all minor intersections can be covered for the entire line.
  • By keeping a steady pace and a tight gap we can better ensure everyone makes it through the intersections in a funeral style procession.
  • Lake County squad cars will be embedded throughout our convoy.  Please let them in and out of the line as needed, they are there for your safety and to try to maintain green lights throughout the route.

Safety Details from Lake County:

  1. Look left and right when entering an intersection
  2. Keep procession tight but safe distance
  3. No sling-shoting (slowing up for a space and then gunning it)
  4. No sirens (aftermarket equipment)

Remember we are all going to the same destination so pack your patience and have some fun!
