In the spring of 2016 my 21 year old son and I were looking for a vehicle to buy as a third car. We wanted something we could have fun with and maybe work on together. As a child of the 1960’s and 1970’s I grew up working on cars with my father. We found a 2008 2 door manual Wrangler. Since then we have worked on almost every part of the Jeep, some out of necessity and some because I enjoy it. In 2016 I also found J.O.T.R. and we attended our first Toys for Tots run. What a great cause with a great group of people. I’m already looking forward to this years run. While my son lost interest in the Jeep and sold me his half, he is still always willing to help if I need it. A little secret, sometimes I just enjoy his company and don’t really need help.

Last year I retired which gives me more time to go for relaxing rides. So if you see an old man driving a little red Wrangler, with the top down and the doors off, and a big smile on his face, give me a wave and I promise I will wave back. Living the dream!
